Certainty levels and expected transactions: what you need to know

Written by Adele Moisand

What is it?

Agicap is launching certainty levels in Cash Management. This feature applies only to your expected transactions. Each one is classified as certain or uncertain, automatically through rules or manually.
You then choose the reading of your cash position that suits you:

  • only what is certain;

  • with or without uncertain transactions, or with a rate applied to uncertain inflows;

  • with or without late transactions;

  • with or without your estimates.

Why does this concern you?

Some of your expected transactions were imported using a former import method. For these transactions, the certainty level is set to “Uncertain”: you can’t change it, and certainty rules don’t apply to them. You can recognise these transactions by the padlock icon 🔒.
This is not an error: these expected transactions simply need to be migrated to our new import system to benefit from the feature.

How can you benefit from it?

To use certainty levels on your expected transactions, we need to migrate them to our new import system. If you would like to benefit from it, let our support team know via the chat (bubble at the bottom right of the screen). Our technical teams will assess the feasibility of this migration and the applicable timeline. We are migrating these setups gradually, and your request helps us prioritise.

Frequently asked questions

Does the certainty level change my data or my cash position?

No. Your expected transactions and the amounts displayed stay the same as long as you don’t exclude uncertain transactions from your filters. Your cash position therefore doesn’t change unless you decide so.

What happens if I do nothing?

You keep using Agicap as you do today, but you won’t be able to use certainty levels on these expected transactions. They will remain uncertain, so they will disappear from your cash position as soon as you hide uncertain transactions in your filters.

  • If you don’t need to distinguish certain from uncertain, no action is required.

  • If you want to manage your short-term cash with these levels, we recommend requesting the migration.

Do I need to re-import my expected transactions?

No. Our team takes care of it as soon as you request it from support via the chat. The steps will depend on your setup.

How long does the migration take?

The time needed to migrate to the new import system depends largely on the complexity of your setup. We can’t give you a date at this stage. In the meantime, your cash position remains available and unchanged.
